William Hernandez was born in New York City, and raised in the Bronx. Bill studied Mechanical Engineering, and was a member of the 1980 graduating class at Manhattan Vocational High School High School.
Upon his graduation from high school, Bill enlisted the United States Marine, serving 8 years. During these 8 years, Bill served as a Heavy Equipment Operator at Cherry Point, N.C, and Quantico, VA, as a Marine Security Guard, at the American Embassies – Paris, France, and Quito, Ecuador, and finally as Recruiter in Jamaica, Queens.
In 1988 Bill was hired by the United States Secret Service – Uniformed Division where he served in various protective details, and retired in 2003. During these 15 years Bill was awarded the United States Secret Service Life Saving Medal on three various occasions.
Upon retiring from the Secret Service In 2003, Bill graduated from the Moseley Appraisal course, and trained as an Appraiser Trainee under Tom Hundley, of Hundley & Associates. Licensed in Virginia, and Maryland Bill has conducted over 2,500 residential appraisals.
In 2007, Bill graduated from the American Home Inspectors Training Institute.
In July 2010 Bill came full circle and received his Real Estate Salesperson’s License.
During the past 24 months, Bill has been nominated to and has served on the Realtor’s Association of Prince William Association of Realtor's - Events Committee, nominated and elected to the Realtor’s Association of Prince William Board of Directors, and nominated and chaired the Events Committee of the Realtor’s Association of Prince William – Events Committee.
In 2012 Bill was awarded the 2011 Realtor’s Association of Prince William – Rookie of the Year, and Top Producer, and Keller Williams –Bronze Medal.
Bill has been married to Brenda for 13 years. They have 2 sons, Diego, who is enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, currently stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA, and Zachary, a high school senior at Osborn Park High School.
Bill hobbies include boating on his SeaRay, golfing as a member of Montclair Country Club, and a passion for driving his Porsche.
